About Me

DR. DAHLIA MOSCARDINI

Early in my career, I served as a program coordinator for HIV treatment initiatives in Nigeria and Zambia, working within large public health systems and gaining insight into healthcare from both clinical and policy perspectives.

I later spent more than fifteen years practicing as a pediatrician, walking alongside children and families through many stages of growth, illness, and transition.

That work taught me the importance of listening carefully, understanding context, and recognizing that health is rarely shaped by one factor alone.

My medical training at The University of the West Indies in Jamaica emphasized careful listening, detailed history-taking, and thoughtful clinical investigation.

Over the years, this approach helped me recognize that many complex health concerns do not fit neatly into simple explanations.

Through both medicine and personal experience, I became increasingly interested in understanding the deeper processes that allow the body to heal and regain balance. This led me to pursue training in functional medicine — an approach focused on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness rather than simply managing symptoms.

The work I do today

Today, my work focuses on helping women navigate the hormonal and metabolic changes that occur during the years surrounding menopause.

My goal is to work carefully with each patient to understand the underlying patterns contributing to symptoms and to help restore the foundations of health that support long-term resilience and well-being.

I believe the body was designed with a remarkable capacity for healing. When we understand the deeper patterns affecting health, it is often possible to restore balance and move forward with greater clarity, steadiness, and vitality.

Midlife changes are often more complex than they appear.

Many women entering midlife begin to notice changes in their bodies that can feel confusing and difficult to explain.

Energy shifts. Sleep becomes less restorative. Weight changes. Hormones fluctuate. Symptoms appear that do not always seem to have clear answers.

These transitions can affect not only physical health, but also a woman’s sense of balance and well-being.
